What is sent
When you press “Run my free check,” your browser sends the answers in the form over HTTPS to the LagZero engine on Amazon Web Services (AWS Lambda): platform, upload speed, bitrate, encoder, resolution, frame rate, keyframe interval, audio, ingest, CPU load, background apps, connection, and any moves you ticked as changed. No name, email or account is asked for.
What is kept
- Your answers and your result: not stored. The engine reads them, sends the result back, and keeps nothing. It writes no database and logs no answers.
- Your IP address: like every web request, it reaches AWS. The engine holds it in memory, with a request count, to apply a per-minute request cap that keeps the free check fast for everyone. It clears when the engine instance restarts and is not written to disk by LagZero.
- Service logs: AWS records that the engine ran (time, duration, memory) in Amazon CloudWatch for 14 days. If the engine hits a snag, it adds one line with the error type and the engine version. These entries carry no form answers.
- Your device: the site uses a service worker to cache its own pages and styles so it opens fast and works offline. Clear it any time from your browser settings.
Share links
“Share” and “Copy” build a text and a link with your answers in the part after the # sign. That part stays in your browser; it goes wherever you choose to send it.
No ads, no trackers
LagZero has no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no cookies. Fonts and images are served from this site. Hosting is Amazon CloudFront and S3; AWS processes requests to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Children
LagZero is built for streamers and is not directed to children under 13.
